Spectra is a synthesizer plug-in which combines multistage
additive synthesis with subtractive synthesis in an easy to
operate and intuitive product. It provides you with a wealth
of timbral possibilities, ranging from classic synthesizer
sounds to re-synthesized instrument sounds and sound
morphing. It features a 250 partial additive engine with up
to 8 detune-able oscillators per Voice. Up to 100 harmonies
can be made on a timeline for re-synthesis and harmony
morphing. An audio analyzer is available to convert wave
files into harmonies. The subtractive part includes 12 analog
modeled filters with resonance, two of those to
self-oscillation. Two LFO's are available for tremolo,
vibrato and filter modulations. Five flexible multipoint
envelopes with looping and time-stretch capabilities are
available to control amplitude, filter cut-off, pitch and
modulation level for each of the two LFO's. The effect
section features Chorus / Flanger, Delay, Phaser and Reverb.
A two bank preset system is available for easy program
handling; you can, for instance, browse through one bank and
easily save your favorite sounds to the other bank. There is
no latency, which makes this the ideal instrument for real
time performance in the studio or on stage.

I just used the files in the Content folder to install:

First i renamed Licensor.exe to Licensor.rar. Then i installed the RealStrat using 'RealStrat_1.0_Installer.exe'.
After that i startet up the 'RealStrat.exe' and choose '30 day demo license' and quit the application.
Now i renamed the Licensor.dll (in the RealStrat folder) to Licensor_old.dll and copied the new one from the Licensor.rar into the directory.

RealStart then worked and is licensed to 'BETA Version, Musiclab, Inc'

PS: When i tried to just copy licensor.dll and then do a first start of RealStart.exe, i've got an error message. Licensing it to demo and then changing the Licensor.dll worked for me...

Morphine is an Additive Synthesizer with quite a few 'twists'. Additive synthesis creates sound entirely from sine wave harmonics and at first this may seem like a major limitation. However, Fourier Theory teaches us that any waveform can be decomposed into aninfinite series of sine-waves, a harmonic series. That means Morphine can still create all your Subtractive Synthesis favorites: Square,

What can Morphine do?
Morphine is a 4 Voice (Generator) additive synthesizer with 128 harmonics per voice. The 'Morph' part of Morphine refers to an architecture that allows these 4 Voices to be mixed and morphed under user control. Sounds (Spectra) are generated by interpolating a series of spectral 'snapshots' that can be created from any input sample or manually drawn. The following is a list of MorphineЖs main capabilities in more detail:
4 Independent Generators - Generators are a complete set of Keyboard Zones (independent sounds mapped across the Keyboard). Each Keyboard Zone holds a unique Spectrum (a synthesized sound of any length). Unlimited Keyboard Zones Per-Generator - Every MIDI key can be programmed to hold a unique Spectrum. Spectra - Similar to a 'synthetic' sample. Spectra can be resynthesized from any sample or manually programmed. Resynthesis - Automatically transforms a sample into a Spectrum. Does Additive Synthesis Hurt?
Additive Synthesizers are rare enough that they exist in an
atmosphere of mystique, rumour and fear. Some say that Additive Synthesis is so complicated that it makes FM synthesis appear to have
the engineering complexity of a spoon. Fortunately the reality is a
lot less scary, Morphine is only slightly more complex to master than
a spoon and you will be feeding yourself in no time. Probably the
best analogy is to consider Morphine a multi-sampler that can
generate its own 'synthetic' samples. So how does Morphine do this?
Any sound can be epresented by an infinite series of harmonics (sinewaves) that vary constantly in amplitude and phase. Morphine captures
this harmonic variation as a series of snapshots, just like the still
frames in a movie and then by playing back this 'harmonic movie', in
real-time, almost any sound can be re/created in synthetic form. So
there you have synthesis in Morphine, not so scary. The hardest part
will be learning the jargon in this manual. If Morphine is a spoon,
then the jargon welds a set of spring-loaded cheek-piercing bolts to it.

The harmonic snapshots are called Breakpoints, each is composed of
three unique values, Amplitude (shown above), Panning and Detune. The harmonic movie' is an interpolated sequence of Breakpoints and is officially called a 'Spectrum'. The envelope-style display, middle of the screenshot above, shows a Spectrum composed of 10 Breakpoints. Spectra can be manually entered and edited using the Breakpoint
Editor (the top-most window in the screenshot above) OR automatically
generated from samples in a process called 'Resynthesis'. Now all you
have to do is work out how not to jab yourself in the eye with your
new spoon and you will be Additively Synthesizing like a pro. Still

Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) Synthesis
The new synthesis method is based on a large and expandable repertoire
of standard waves like saw or pulse as well as complex waves like multi
waves, trumpets, organs, pads, pianos, and voice samples. These waves
can be modified in real-time by e.g. transposing the wave by one or two
octaves and adding it to the original wave, altering its harmonic
structure, syncing, compressing or expanding the frequency domain of the
spectrum, making the wave fat using only one (!) oscillator by transforming
each wave into a hyper-wave, selecting some cycles of a sample and moving
through them over time (comparable to wave-table synthesis).
Any modification of a wave can be modulated producing lively shimmery sounds
(recall: with only one oscillator!). In total there are more than 14,000
different spectra available for combination and modulation.

Filter and effects
The filter is much more than what you would expect: It is a standard
biquad-based or a Moog-type low-pass, high-pass, band-pass, notch, or
shelving filter. But it can also provide more complex lter characteristics
for vocal or M-shape lters. Finally, it gives you ADSR- or LFO-modulated
phaser-effects, AM- or FM-modulation.
The effects section has several reverb and stereo tab delay variations, chorus,
ensemble, flanger, and rotary effects as well as combinations.
Firebird comes with an extremely powerful arpeggiator.
A fat knob doubles or quadruples the number of oscillators giving up to 8 (!)
oscillators per voice.
IQM (intelligent micro tuning) makes chords harmonically cleaner and at the
same time more fat.

The Vocoding Engine
VOKATOR’s FFT spectral engine is a milestone in vocoder development. Previous vocoders used eight, sixteen, twenty, or even thirty-two frequency bands – the more frequency bands, the smoother and creamier the effect. Unlike its predecessors, VOKATOR’s advanced engine uses 1024 bands. In addition to its stunningly transparent, full-resolution operation, VOKATOR’s bands can even be grouped together for a convincing vintage-vocoder emulation. To ensure optimal dynamic range across the frequency spectrum, an integrated multi-band compressor balances the levels of all bands.

Fully Configurable Design
A pair of vocoding channels can either be spectrally combined or played independently. Channel A can be switched between an integrated file player or external input A, while Channel B can be set to a full-featured synthesizer, a time-stretching granular sampler, or external input B. For a traditional vocoder effect, the frequency spectrum of the external input would be controlled by the synthesizer, but VOKATOR’s capabilities are much more advanced than simple vocoding.

Diverse Sound Sources
VOKATOR is both an effect plug-in and a vocoder-based synthesizer. Its synthesizer features an advanced dual-oscillator design with dynamic preset morphing controlled by the modulation wheel. VOKATOR’s granular sampler can independently control a sample’s pitch and time. AtoD SuperSaw Plus VSTi v1.0-H2O

Supersaw Plus is a 10 oscillator, 16 voice polyphonic
analog-modeled vst instrument synthesizer with an effects
section (three effects) . It is designed to create fat sounds
like the classic Roland JP-8000 synth, particularly the
supersaw. Like the JP-8000, it has a full range of oscillator
waveforms.

Features
********

It has 2 treble-mode (Lowpass/Highpass/Bandpass) resonant
filters with ADSR and velocity control and an lfo (around 30
waveforms) with separate levels for each oscillator. The filter
controls can be linked so that a single knob can control both
filters, as well as an offset slider to create separate left and
right levels. This is a stereo synth with 10 oscillators, split
in two, each having separate level and pan controls.

There are master volume and velocity sensitivity controls and an
ADSR volume envelope. Each oscillator can have Sine , Saw, Ramp,
Triangle, Pulse,White Noise and Pink Noise waveforms. An lfo
controls pitch and Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

The synth is 16 voice polyphonic including a mono mode with
retrigger option. The number of voices can be selected
(2,4,6,10) and there is a single FAT button that proportionately
detunes the oscillators against each other. The oscillators have
separate octave pitch controls and osc2 has a semi-tone select
control. There is a separate Pitch ADSR Envelope with level
control and a sync button for synced sounds.

Effects section

Double Delay - a tempo synced double delay modelled on the one
in cubase 5 with an additional high pass filter. Reverb has
level control, size, depth and damp. Chorus has mix, speed,
depth, pre-delay and feedback. Unlike most vst instruments, the
effects only use cpu when the synth is playing.

The major controls can be automated from midi and there is a
midi learn facility to let the user set their own controller
numbers. There are 64 presets to use as starting points for your
own sounds. Cpu usage is low. Comes with pdf manual.

Lo-fi video game sounds have recently seen a revival across many musical genres. Now you too can harness the true 8-bit sound of these legendary 80's sound chips!

The crew at Puremagnetik have extracted this collection of sound programs from the internal synthesizer of a classic NES console. So grab your MIDI controller and get ready for some 80's nostalgia and (not so pretty) video game sounds with Punchpak!

The NES board supported a total of five sound channels. These included two pulse waveduty cycle (12.5%, 25%, 50%, and 75%), with a volume control of sixteen levels, and hardware pitch bending supporting frequencies ranging from 54 Hz to 28 kHz. Additional channels included one fixed-volume triangle wave channel supporting frequencies from 27 Hz to 56 kHz, one sixteen-volume level white noise channel supporting two modes (by adjusting inputs on a linear feedback shift register) at sixteen preprogrammed frequencies, and one delta pulse-width modulation channel with six bits of range, using 1-bit delta encoding at sixteen preprogrammed sample rates from 4.2 kHz to 33.5 kHz, often resulting in poor sound quality. This final channel was also capable of playing standard pulse-code modulation (PCM) sound by writing individual 7-bit values at timed intervals.

I am very, very pleased to announce that Krazy Dreams has decided to release their retro keys products (now called, simply, Retro Keys -- its planned commercial name was, in our estimation, a bit pretentious), previously intended for commercial sale, directly to the Magesy community, at no cost, with no restrictions on distributing, copying, and use in performance or recording. The only right we restrict is commercial sale of the free product, and we ask that we (Krazy Dreams) be credited as creator of the product wherever credit is called for, and that our Info fields in the instruments remain intact.

The message we'd like to make is clear; we're musicians first and foremost, and we'd much rather these instruments end up in the hands of other musicians who'll play them, regardless of income -- and especially in the hands of working musicians who couldn't afford them at list price, as those are the people who need quality free instruments most. You are our audience, and as we did this project out of love for the retro instruments, we thought we'd serve them better by making sure everyone got to play them and check them out.

We'd been in talks earlier in the year to develop this product for sale through a reasonably well-known sample company but we weren't happy with their image of the product -- a high price tag, bloated and floppy, full of superfluous file size and unnecessary bulk to appeal to those members of the market who believe bigger is always better, and priced well out of comfortable reach for working musicians. Atmosphere / Stylus RMX / Trilogy dat locator

It took me a long time to warm up to Stylus. Mainly this was because of my misunderstanding of the product. I thought Stylus was in it's essence a "DJ tool", filled with turntable scratches and hitz and beatz and yes, it has those. But it also has sooo much more. I heard so many good things about the newest version, Stylus RMX, that when I found out it was now compatible with Logic 7 (which is rather picky about what plugins it can use), I took the leap.

I am glad I did. Stylus RMX is a powerful package for drum beat creation and generation. It's filled with the good stuff--unique, on-the-edge drum sounds and grooves. You want edge? It's here. For squeaky clean pristine drum sounds, this is probably not the ticket (though it has some remarkably clean percussion sets.) If you are looking for those intense, distorted, whole baked weeds you can drop on a track you are in the right place. So naturally, Stylus RMX is better suited for some forms of music than others. Doing hip hop? You will love it. It's got some awesomely low kiks that could get you a hefty traffic fine in Texas, and all the nerdy snares and tinny tinkly high hats you could want. Killer krunk. For those that prefer the faster BPMs of DnB and Trance I guarantee you will not be disappointed. You'll find LFO-->Filter possibilities, quick and easy reversed sample capability, perfect trance delays, and in some modes you can put a whole rack of effects on each drum element in your kit as inserts, given you have the requisite CPU power.
